A 2-year-old boy who fell into a Bradley County pond on Tuesday died this morning at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattano0ga, authorities said.
Bradley County Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Gault said deputies were called Tuesday to the pond on Sandridge Road. Before they arrived, dispatchers told them that family members had taken the child to a church on Springplace Road to meet emergency services personnel.
Mr. Gault said the child was Dakota Mason, son of Richard Lloyd Mason and Ashley Nicole Green. Authorities are still investigating the incident, he said.
