KNOXVILLE — Look for an increase in computer hacking trials, like the one involving Sarah Palin’s e-mail account.
That’s a prediction by a trial consultant and representatives of defense attorneys and prosecutors.
A federal court jury Friday in Knoxville convicted 22-year-old David Kernell. He was found guilty of obstruction of justice and unauthorized access to a computer.
He was acquitted on a charge of wire fraud. Jurors in their fourth day of deliberating announced they were deadlocked on an identity theft charge.
