HubFest

Heritage Park will be a hub of activity Saturday for the fourth annual HubFest.

The free family festival, sponsored by the Friends of East Brainerd and the city of Chattanooga’s Departments of Parks and Recreation and Education, Arts and Culture, will offer live music, pony rides, voter registration, a ropes course and an 18-wheeler full of video games.

“It’ll be a lot of fun for everybody,” said Chris Holley, director of Heritage House.

The event gets its name from the distinctive art sculpture of a top, called “The Hub,” at the entrance of the park.

Holley said even with a misting morning rain the festival drew 1,600 people in 2009. With good weather, she said, it could draw more than 2,000 people.
