J.T. Clendenin entered the Signal Mountain Invitational last year because his University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golf teammates were off playing in an NCAA regional.
This year, he’ll be joined by his teammates on the mountain because the regional is next week. This year, he’s playing in that too.
Six UTC golfers — including rookie assistant coach Ben Rickett — will compete this weekend in a field of 124, including the best amateurs in the area.
“It’s great,” Signal Mountain head pro Jay Underwood said. “Having them certainly makes the field stronger.”
And Clendenin will be defending his championship.
