Choo-Choo hosting one-night-only show with Jordanaires

The world-famous Jordanaires — featuring Ray Walker, Gordon Stoker, Curtis Young and Louis Nunley — will perform with Elvis tribute artist Ron Moore on Friday at 7:15 p.m. in the Centennial Theatre of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo.

The one-time-only performance will benefit the Unbroken youth initiative of the Department of Education, Arts & Culture and Eagles Rest Ranch horse therapy program.

A documentary crew will be in Chattanooga filming this special performance to air in January 2011.

“The Jordanaires are legendary, and Ron Moore is recognized as having the closest singing voice to Elvis out right now. It’s a great opportunity to capture this moment on film,” said executive producer Ron Lillie of Summerhill Television.

Jordanaires Ray Walker and Gordon Stoker were Elvis Presley’s back-up singers for more than 15 years, during which they recorded more than 100 songs with Presley. They also made numerous TV appearances with Elvis, such as the landmark “The Ed Sullivan Show,” and performed in 18 of his films.

Mr. Moore recently moved from Toronto to Chattanooga.
