The Clyde W. Roddy Public Library is getting ready to kick off its summer reading program June 1, with adults invited to participate this year for the first time. Register at the library, pick up reading logs and begin reading for prizes on that day. Preschoolers through adults may read and turn in reports weekly, with a carnival and closing ceremonies to wrap up on June 30.
Prizes and special events are scheduled throughout the month. Library Director Kay Madewell said generous sponsors from Rhea County and Chattanooga make the program possible.
