The Tennessee Watercolor Society’s state-wide exhibit showcases 70 paintings by 58 Tennessee artists. Of these artists, 26 are from the Chattanooga area, designated as Region 3.
The show is on display through June 25 at Chattanooga State Technical Community College’s Center for Business, Industry and Health (the former Olan Mills Building).
Serving as juror for the competition was George James, artist and professor of art at California State University at Fullerton for 40 years. He reviewed 213 paintings submitted for consideration in a variety of styles. To be eligible, each piece had to be composed of water-based media.
