EAST BRAINERD: Native makes Carnegie Hall debut

On June 15, Hannah Braud Cavey, who grew up in East Brainerd, makes her Carnegie Hall debut. As part of the musical ensemble Antiphony, Ms. Cavey will join a group of renowned musicians and singers presenting the New York premiere of the concert version of “Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings.” Written and conducted by Eric Whitacre, “Paradise Lost” is a cutting-edge musical combining anime and electronica with choral, cinematic and operatic traditions. Ms. Cavey, born Hannah Carol Braud, began her musical journey at an early age with involvements in the Chattanooga Girls’ Choir, church events, school ensembles, and musicals. Congratulations, Hannah. East Brainerd is very proud of your accomplishments.
