Harry Warren wrote the music, Mack Gordon the lyrics.

After playing to a sellout crowd at last year’s Centennial Celebration at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, the Glenn Miller Orchestra has been booked for a return visit.

The second annual concert of big-band favorites will start at 8 p.m. Saturday in Grand Central Station. Dancing is encouraged.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra began charting hits in the late 1930s, including “Moonlight Serenade,” Pennsylvania 6-5000,” “In the Mood” and “Tuxedo Junction.” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” released in 1941, became the first record in history to sell 1 million copies.

The current orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, averaging 300 dates a year all around the world. Trombonist Larry O’Brien is the musical director.

Concert tickets are $40 (reserved seating). Accommodations packages also are available, starting at $359. They include two nights’ accommodations, two keepsake concert tickets, a commemorative photo taken at the concert and tickets to either the Hunter Museum of American Art or the Southern Belle.
