Thunder on the Rock, an adults-only music festival and bike rally, gets under way today on Monteagle Mountain.
More than a dozen acts have been booked for the three-day festival, including Southern rockers Blackfoot (“Train, Train,” “Highway Song”) on Saturday and country/hip-hop artist Colt Ford (“No Trash in My Trailer,” “Mr. Goodtime”) on Sunday.
Tickets are $60 at the gate.
The festival site is 518 Brawley Road. From Chattanooga, take I-24 West to the first Monteagle exit, No. 135. Go right at the end of the ramp onto Highway 41A toward Tracy City. In 2 miles, turn left on Summerfield and follow 2.5 miles until the road ends. Then go right onto Clouse Hill Highway. The THOR entrance will be 1.5 miles on the left.
