Chattanooga wants you to recycle.
And the city has outfitted its new recycling trucks to get that message across.
“It brings the message down to what you can do,” said Justin Holland, the city’s sanitation supervisor.
Two city recycling trucks — in operation since spring — have been clothed with a graphics wrap on their hoppers. The trucks have unique designs, city officials said.
Holland said one truck looks like the side is “blown out,” has newspapers in the middle of the blown-out “hole” and has a message about newspaper recycling on the other side of the hopper amidst green flowers.
