Public television station WTCI will host a preview party Saturday afternoon for its locally produced documentary “Untamed Legacy: America’s Wild Mustang. “
The documentary, which premiers on WTCI at 8 p.m. Thursday, focuses on the wild mustang’s survival and struggles as resources diminish. It is shot in parts of Tennessee, Alabama, Nevada and New Mexico. It centers on a mustang named Charlie on his journey from the wild to his new home in Alabama.
The film “showcases the efforts of passionate people reaching out to save these beautiful horses and ultimately save the mustangs’ legacy,” said Paul Grove, president and CEO of WTCI.
“Untamed Legacy” is narrated by Jack Perkins, best known for his work with NBC News and as host of A&E’s “Biography.” It is produced by Emmy Award winner Jen Noble.
The preview party will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Chattanooga Theatre Centre, 400 River St. Admission is free, but seating is limited so reservations are required. Call 702-7814. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
