The school resource officer at Bradley Central High School has charged a member of the cleaning crew with stealing from student lockers, according to a release from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, three students reported tennis shoes, water bottles and clothing missing from their lockers, sheriff’s spokesman Bob Gault said in the release. The SRO reviewed school security video in the locker area and saw a supervisor on the cleaning crew opening lockers and moving articles to a clear garbage bag.
The SRO filed an affidavit in General Sessions Court seeking to charge Paul Mark Weber, 38, with theft under $500. A warrant was obtained and Weber was arrested at the school Tuesday afternoon, Gault said. He said officials are trying to recover stolen propery with an estimated value of $224.
Attempts are now being made to recover the stolen property that has a value of $244.
Weber was employed by a private janitorial service and was not an employee of Bradley County or the Bradley County Schools, Gault said.
