A man and a woman have been charged with statutory rape, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said.
Richard S. Batson, 41, was charged with statutory rape by an authority figure and is under a $75,000 bond, said Janice Atkinson, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office. Julia Yoder, 39, was charged with aggravated statutory rape and has a $25,000 bond, Atkinson said.
The incident involves a juvenile and a complaint of alleged inappropriate sexual contact involving a juvenile and two adults, she said.
The investigation is ongoing and sheriff’s investigators are working with the Tennessee Child Protection Services, she said.
