NASHVILLE — Gov.-elect Bill Haslam and his wife, Crissy, plan to make a series of regional visits across Tennessee before his Jan. 15 inauguration in Nashville.
In the week leading up to the inauguration, “Bill and Crissy will make regional visits to celebrate with those not traveling to the state’s Capitol,” Kim Kaegi, who is spearheading the inaugural activities, said in an e-mail.
Then, Jan. 14 through 16, “traditional and appropriate events in Nashville will culminate the celebration” of the Republican’s inauguration as Tennessee’s 49th governor, she wrote.
Following Haslam’s swearing-in ceremony at Legislative Plaza on Capitol Hill, the inaugural celebration will take place at the Opryland Hotel.
The hotel re-opened last week after a $270 million repair and renovation job to repair damage from flooding that ravaged the Nashville area in May.
