Chattanooga Hooters fans have a chance to see a local Hooters waitress in print – again.

Tabitha Gilley, a veteran of the national modeling spotlight who works at Hooters’ Brainerd Road location, was one of about 200 women selected from a field of more than 20,000 for the 2011 Hooters Calendar, on sale now.

“It’s definitely something special,” the 24-year-old Bridgeport, Ala., native said Wednesday. “If you work at Hooters, it’s definitely an honor. Many girls try out for it and they want it.”

Gilley is featured in a special section of the calendar devoted to the military, said Hooters spokeswoman Alexis Aleshire.

“This is the sixth year that Hooters has rolled out a program called Operation Calendar Drop,” she said. “Customers can purchase a calendar, sign a note of appreciation to an unknown service man or woman and Hooters will send it out to a designated base to boost morale during the holidays.”

Gilley also was featured in the 25th anniversary edition of Hooters Magazine, released in 2008, and was one of 13 Hooters waitresses in a 2008 edition of Playboy.

She called Hooters a “stepping stone” in her modeling career because it has provided her with many opportunities. The holder of a degree in dental hygiene, Gilley hopes to continue modeling for the time being before settling into a dental career.

“I’m just kind of having fun with the modeling thing,” she said. “I definitely love it. I like to see my pictures.”
