I-24 accident

An accident involving a tractor trailer truck and a Toyota Corolla caused two people to be entrapped on I-24 near Siskin Steele. Emergency crews temporarily shut down the westbound lanes of I-24 in order to get the occupants of the Toyota Corolla free.

According to witnesses, both vehicles were traveling west when the truck changed lanes and made contact with the Toyota causing it to be pinned against the median wall. No one was seriously injured in the incident but the passenger of the Toyota was taken to Erlanger Hospital where she was treated and released for minor abrasions.

The scene has now been cleared and traffic opened.
