Starting Saturday, children who visit the Creative Discovery Museum can discover how all children are more alike than different in the new exhibit “Kids Like You, Kids Like Me.”
According to a news release, the exhibit’s “Day in the Life” theme highlights school and home experiences, allowing kids to ask questions without feeling embarrassed.
Kids will be able to use assistive technology designed to help those with disabilities complete everyday tasks. Some of the activities include playing basketball and navigating a multisurface track in a wheelchair, mastering a computer without the use of hands and asking for a favorite meal without speaking.
Free school tours are offered to classes in kindergarten through fifth grade. Call 756-2738 to schedule a visit.
Regular admission is $10.95.
