Greg Goodwin today called it quits in his independent bid for the 3rd Congressional District seat, and said he supports independent candidate Mark DeVol.
Goodwin, who lives in Powell, Tenn., and works in property management, said his wife’s illness derailed his campaign and he was unable to fully invest in it at this point. He said DeVol will make a good congressman.
“Mark is a very capable individual, just because he is a conservative,” Goodwin said. “He’s an ex-Republican he feels the Republican party has lost its way.”
Attempts to reach DeVol so far have been unsuccessful.
