University of Tennessee at Chattanooga cornerback Kadeem Wise was named the Southern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Wise, a redshirt freshman, intercepted two passes and made three tackles in the Mocs’ 27-21 win at Western Carolina last season. Wise’s four interceptions this season ties the UTC freshman record, set by Mocs coach Russ Huesman.
The Mocs (2-2, 1-1 SoCon) are off this Saturday and will play at The Citadel on Oct. 9.
