In case you haven’t noticed, Chattanooga has emerged as a showpiece of the South. It’s a model for successful urban renewal projects. It’s demonstrated the value of rejuvenating green and natural spaces in and around its cityscapes. It’s become a socially-sensitive, culturally-uplifting and environmentally-responsible epicenter. After a long, hard 40-year journey to become the best mid-sized city in America, Chattanooga has arrived! That’s cause for celebration.
A Grand Celebration
Welcome to RiverRocks 2010, a 10-day gala celebration with balloons-big ones, weather permitting-in magical displays at Coolidge Park and Baylor School during the first weekend of October. Tethered rides, as well as a limited number of early morning flights available on a first-come, first-served basis promise breathtaking views of the Scenic City.
Dazzling, award-winning entertainment from Circus Juventas, also at Coolidge Park, the following Friday night will trumpet the grand finale-an all-day RiverRocks expo on Saturday.
As a fitting tribute to the festival, AscenDance Project will take the art of expressive dancing to a new level by performing on a vertical stage-a climbing wall.
