Saturday night, they're at Barking Legs Theater. Starting Sunday, Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike will share their high-energy blend of Americana, bluegrass, gospel and swing with an international audience on a monthlong tour of Europe and Canada.

The Grammy-nominated band is a three-time award winner of International Bluegrass Music Association trophies. Smith and bandmate Becky Buller were also among nominees for the 2011 Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America awards: Smith for Female Vocalist of the Year (Traditional) and Buller for Fiddle Performer of the Year.

The latest release from the Bell Buckle, Tenn.-based ensemble, "Blame It on the Bluegrass," appears on April's Bluegrass Music Profiles National Top 10 Bluegrass CDs, and the title track is No. 18 on the BMP Top Hot Singles.

North Georgia singer/songwriter David Lewis Crawford will open the show. His humorous songs are described as a mellow blend of down-home folk, whimsy and romance, with touches of blues, classical and country.
