Wind down the summer with the fastest fun on the water Aug. 19-21.
The Champ Boat Series features more than 30 Formula 1 boats racing up to 120 miles per hour along downtown Chattanooga’s riverfront.
“These are the hardest turning racing machines in the world – pulling four to six Gs in the corners,” says ChampBoat Series President Mike Schriefer. “These boats are like a fighter jet on the water.”
Friday’s practice session will conclude with a free concert on the riverfront. Saturday practice runs last from 10 to 2, with qualifying heats from 2 to 6 p.m. capped off by another free concert. Boats will be back on the water Sunday at 11 a.m. for practice, with final races from 3 to 6 p.m.
