David Cook opinion is golden
Once again, David Cook, in his Aug. 15 piece “My heroes are gay, disabled and obese,” strikes gold.
With extraordinary insight and courage, Cook gives place to those of us who somehow do not measure up to our culture’s false standards of beauty, success and righteousness.
Christians, especially, should be aware of God’s call to unconditional love, hating the sin but loving the sinner. This would include offering acceptance and hope to struggling people of all kinds.
We all struggle with not measuring up to God’s perfect standards, which is why God sent Jesus to save and change us.
