The Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce is among the first to be designated a certified Chamber by the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
In recognition of professionalism and performance, the certified designation was bestowed on 25 of the state’s 150 local Chambers during the GACCE Leadership Conference last month.
Catoosa’s is not only among a select few Chambers to be certified, it is the only such organization in Northwest Georgia.
“It is indeed an honor and represents a lot of commitment on the part of our staff and volunteers,” Martha Eaker, president and CEO of the local Chamber, said when the award was announced last week. “It shows we are growing, understand what businesses are looking for and know what we are doing.”
Eaker said being in the top 16 percent of Chambers statewide also recognizes the collaboration between the organization, its members and the local business community.
