It’s the rich who create jobs

I characterize myself as a middle-income person probably closer to the lower percentile since I am retired. Yet when I hear people say “tax the rich,” I cringe. Most people don’t realize that 1 percent of the top earners pay nearly 40 percent of the tax and the top 10 percent of the payers pay nearly 70 percent of the tax. That leaves 30 percent for everyone else to pay.

The bottom 50 percent of payers pay less than 3 percent of the tax revenue.

A business owner has many tax burdens: state, county, local tax, Social Security, worker’s comp and more. More than 50 percent of a business owner’s income goes for tax, yet the liberals want them to pay even more. They think that someone who makes the right choices in life, educates themselves and works hard should be punished.

Folks, the rich create jobs! How many jobs do you think the bottom 50 percent of taxpayers create?
