CLEVELAND, Tenn. – A task force created to explore merging Bradley County’s Fire and Rescue Department, Emergency Medical Service and the Cleveland Fire Department met for the first time today.
The task force elected Julian Sullivan, now chairman of the county’s fire board, to be chairman of the task force, too. County Mayor D. Gary Davis was elected chairman pro-tem.
At the organization meeting, the group scheduled eight more meetings before they make a joint recommendation to the Cleveland City Council and Bradley County Commission.
