The MaryEllen Locher Breast Center at Memorial Hospital has been named a certified quality breast center of excellence, the first such hospital in Tennessee, Georgia or Alabama to earn the top certification from the National Consortium of Breast Centers.
The certification is based upon an analysis of 33 quality indicators.
Kathy Dittmar, director of women’s and support services at Memorial, said the distinction “validates all the hard work and compassion that our multidisciplinary team gives each and every day to ensure our breast patients receive the best and most compassionate care available.”
