Two-year TVA plan mum on rates, jobs

After more than two years of planning, the Tennessee Valley Authority has completed a strategic plan for developing energy sources for the future.

Officials say they are the least expensive and cleanest sources while still being efficient.

On Friday, the officials said the plan includes recommendations for idling coal plants, increasing nuclear and renewable energy sources but does not translate the strategy to future rates or future TVA jobs.
