For a chance to see “some really good tennis” close to home, you can take in the Southern conference playoff matches this month at the Champions Club on Lupton Drive.
“We’re really excited to get the championships here in Chattanooga,” says Jack Blackman, UTUTC’s assistant athletic director. “It’s good for our student athletes, and it’s good for the community.”
UTC’s sophomore star, Jenna Nurik, SoCon’s 2010 Freshman of the Year, will be among competitors at the four-day tournament April 20-23. Nurik has helped the Lady Mocs get off to their best start since 1999.
