Red Bank catcher Taylor Martin, the baseball player of the year in District 6-AA, had hoped to return for at least part of the district tournament that begins later this week. He’s done for the season.
Martin suffered several cheek and orbital bone fractures in a game with East Hamilton and had been scheduled for surgery last Thursday. That was postponed until Monday because of numerous tornado trauma victimes.
