On Monday the council adopted a resolution commending Robertson for his years of service as an educator, coach and county school administrator as well as a council member.

During Monday’s meeting, a portrait of Robertson was displayed at his chair along with a single yellow rose. The council and audience stood for a moment of remembrance.

The resolution, read by Rowland, cited Robertson’s civic contributions, including his philosophy about public service, “that somebody made a difference in his life and he hoped to do the same for others.”
