It is welcome news — though not at all surprising — that within just the past several months, a number of accrediting and other organizations have separately bestowed high ratings on our local Erlanger, Memorial and Parkridge hospitals.
Patients at the hospitals can attest to the excellent care that they have received from conscientious, well-trained medical professionals, and so it is appropriate that our major local health care facilities are earning high marks for their service.
As Erlanger spokeswoman Pat Charles told the Times Free Press, “I think this is another feather in Chattanooga’s hat, having all three major health care providers recognized by three separate national rating agencies. It says a lot about the level of health care available in this city.”
It certainly does.
