The new All Things Personalized store in Fort Oglethorpe is true to its name.

“Basically we can do anything that has to be personalized,” said store manager Amber Madaris – car decals, vinyl, embroidery, screen prints, sports apparel, promotional items and anything else the customer desires. “People come in for a wedding or birthday gift. Businesses come in for shirts and screen printing.”

Business owner Zach de Vaux said customers can bring in their own items to be personalized or choose from items in the store. He said many customers put their initials or name on anything from coffee mugs to pillows to picnic baskets and towels.

“I personalize my shirts, purse, cooler, bags, lunch totes and towels,” said Madaris. “I’m obsessed with getting things personalized. Everybody wants their initials on everything. It’s big. They want their name on their car, umbrella and purse.”

According to de Vaux, personalized items make great gifts. His favorite wedding gift was a set of towels with his initials.

“Personalizing a gift brings it to another level,” said Madaris. “It does not cost much either.”

She said All Things Personalized works a lot with schools on sports apparel for athletic teams.

“We want to provide the best service to everybody,” said Madaris. “It does not matter if they want one shirt or 1,000, we will help them. We try to meet customers’ needs.”

According to de Vaux, the company began in 2003 titled For Infinity in a 10-by 15-foot box trailer that traveled to fairs to engrave and personalize items for people. He also opened a storefront in Chickamauga that specialized in tombstone engraving.

“My wife Becky and I began talking about expanding,” said de Vaux. “I saw there was a niche in personalization. I wanted to move to a better retail location with visibility. As customers needed different products, we grew from there.”

Even though the company has expanded, he said the store still engraves headstones for pets and people.

“If a business owner does not have time to come in, then I will go to them for orders, pickup and delivery,” said Madaris. “A lot goes on in the back of the store. We have an embroidery machine, vinyl cutter, screen printer, sublimation machine, laser machine, hand engraving machine, heat press, button maker and sand blaster.”
