Pet owners can end summer with a splash from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday when McKamey Animal Center hosts its annual Doggie Paddle at the Warner Park pool, 1254 E. Third St.
Pooches and their owners may swim in either the park’s Olympic-size pool, one of two wading pools or run through the Spray and Play park.
The $15 fee for one dog includes a goody bag while supplies last. There is a $10 charge for each additional dog. Event T-shirts will be sold. All proceeds will benefit the McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center.
To make sure all dogs (and owners) play well together, there are rules that must be followed.
* Owners must accompany dogs.
* Only dogs and owners are allowed in the pool.
* Dogs must be on leash when outside the pool area.
* Dogs must display current rabies tags on their collars.
* Owners must clean up after their dogs; bags will be provided.
* Children should not be left unattended.
* Owners must bring their own towels.
* Aggressive dogs (and people) will be asked to leave.
