Marion County’s South Pittsburg High School and Meigs County’s Midway Middle School have received Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants for programs and improvements, according to an announcement from the company’s foundation.
They were among 16 Tennessee schools to get grants from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation.
South Pittsburg will use its $5,000 grant for an outdoor classroom and a greenhouse for its science program, officials said. Midway Middle, in Ten Mile, Tenn., will use its $5,000 for an outdoor covered pavilion.
The program has provided nearly $30 million through more than 6,000 grants since 2006.
