The Chattanooga Writers Guild will begin the year with some “outside the box” ideas for marketing creative work from entertainer Jim Moore.
Moore is not only the frontman but the creative marketing force behind The Animal Band, a family entertainment brand he launched 20 years ago. Moore will relay firsthand experiences on how the entertainment industry really works. Such as: How to get contracts with a big-box retailer and why you might turn down a large order.
“It will be an eye-opening experience and a launching pad for many conversations and new dreams,” said a news release from guild president Lantz Powell.
Moore has released multiple critically acclaimed albums as well as a children’s book. He has won music industry awards and been nominated twice for Emmy Awards. Several of his songs have been adopted as theme songs by various organizations.
The Chattanooga Writers Guild is a nonprofit organization that supports authors and the growth of the literary arts.
Moore’s presentation, scheduled Tuesday, is part of the membership’s regular monthly meeting; guests are welcome. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St.
Admission is free.
