Naturalist artist Alia El-Bermani of Cary, N.C., will lead a drawing demonstration Thursday at the Hunter Museum of American Art, 10 Bluff View.
The evening begins at 5 p.m. with a guided tour and talk by museum staff on selected works in the museum's collection. El-Bermani's demonstration will follow from 6 to 8 p.m.
Admission is free with museum entry ($9.95).
She also will lead a workshop on "Natural Object Still Life Painting" 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 8-10 at Townsend Atelier, 201 W. Main St.
The class will start with an optional nature walk so that participants may collect found objects to bring back to the studio to paint; students may skip the walk in favor of bringing their own inspirations from the natural world.
Cost is $350. For more information on El-Bermani's visit, call 266-2712, email info@townsendatelier.com or visit http://townsendatelier.com.
