Too many shots had been missing wide, slamming the crossbar or glancing off a post in the first few games of the season for the Chattanooga Football Club.
The shot didn’t hit a post or crossbar Saturday night.
Chattanooga slammed Myrtle Beach FC 6-0 at Finley Stadium with Luke Winter scoring three goals in just over 60 minutes before subbing out.
“We really looked to attack,” said Winter, who played at Tennessee Wesleyan. “It was also important to get the shutout.”
Winter’s first goal came on a cross from John Carrier. Winter headed the ball in a few yards from the goal eight minutes into the game.
