The second annual Independence Day celebration at The Georgia Winery puts two wines in the spotlight.
Red, White and Blueberry Blush is cued to the colors of the Fourth of July holiday. Battlefield 150 commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
Festivities will take place Saturday and July 7. On both days, the blush will be specially priced, and winery tours will be discounted by half. All ages are welcome for this behind-the-scenes look at Georgia’s first farm winery. Tours start at 2 and 4 p.m.
Free wine tastings and samples of wine slushies will be available. Happy hour, featuring live music, is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. The winery, 6469 Battlefield Parkway in Ringgold, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
