Georgia mansion to be auctioned
An Ellijay luxury mountain home originally valued at nearly $3 million will go to auction starting at $950,000 on April 5.
The Dobie Mountain Lookout is a fully-furnished, 2.85-acre estate in the Ultana Bluffs development. Developer Winterwoods Homes hasn’t been able to sell the site, so its sale is now being handled by Concierge Auctions.
“We really feel like the auction methodology is helpful not only for the buyers, but also the sellers,” said Laura Brady, Concierge’s vice president of marketing. “Sellers can feel confident when they receive a price on auction day that it’s the real value of the property.”
The auction format also assures buyers they’re getting a fair price, assuaging the purchasers’ doubts he or she may have overpaid, Brady said.
