The TVA headquarters building is located in downtown Chattanooga. The Tennessee Valley Authority has provided the Times Free Press the names and base salaries for another 19 managers, in addition to the 12,515 salaries previously given to the newspaper in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. Denise Smith, the agency’s FOIA officer, said the 19 managers of coal and nuclear plant facilities were “inadvertently left of the list” given two weeks ago. The names boosted the number of TVA employees earning more than the $174,000 salary paid to members of Congress in fiscal 2011 to 180. The revised list of TVA employees and their base pay is available at right2know.com.
