KNOXVILLE – A registered, violent sex offender pleaded guilty Monday to altering a child’s birth certificate to list him as the child’s biological father.
Don Allen Coleman, 37, entered a guilty plea in Knox County Criminal Court to a charge of fabricating evidence. He was arrested in November following an investigation by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Enforcement Unit.
Coleman has a prior conviction of aggravated sexual battery of a 9-year-old child.
