There’s a good reason the Brits have crowned the Pimm’s Cup as the unofficial drink of Wimbledon: it’s an absolutely perfect, refreshing summer drink.

The basic recipe is right on the bottle of Pimm’s No. 1 liqueur: fill a glass halfway with ice and add 1.5 ounces of Pimm’s. Top it off with ginger ale or lemon-lime soda and garnish with a slice of lemon.

For a Pimm’s Royale, put a splash of Pimm’s in a Champagne flute and top with Champagne.

“During the summertime, they’re hugely popular,” says Josh Baldwin, bartender at The Social at Public House. He says their version is made with Pimm’s liqueur, a dash of lemon juice, a cucumber slice and ginger ale.
