After nearly 20 years in business, J & S Shoes is closing its doors.
“I’d like to thank everyone that’s supported us over the years,” said owner Jeff Price.
Everything in the store is 50 percent off, and although many of the shoes are already gone, the store still has some sizes as well as apparel and sporting goods.
Price said he has been waiting around for several years for the economy to improve, but he feels now is the time to move on from the business before his life becomes too stressful.
If anyone is interested in light fixtures or display cases, he invites them to come in and make an offer.
Price expects to have the business moved out by Oct. 15, and he is unsure what business, if any, will take its place in Ashley Plaza.
