Hamilton, Ellis, Parrish Properties is seeking to rezone two parcels on Lee and Gordon Mill Road behind the McDonald’s in Chickamauga.
The Chickamauga Planning Commission is recommending that the Chickamauga City Council approve the rezoning at its meeting this week.
The property would change from residential to commercial to accommodate office spaces for business professionals.
“We had a public hearing at the last meeting,” said Chickamauga City Hall office manager Jim Powell, who also serves as the zoning and planning administrator. “The new owner, HEP … wanted to rezone it commercial in case someone would like to put an office in. It will be business offices for possibly accountants or lawyers.”
