AGO Chattanooga, the regional chapter of the American Guild of Organists, will present a program on “The Organ as Soundtrack,” on Saturday, Feb. 8, in South Pittsburg, Tenn.
Musicians will showcase their skills during a viewing of the silent film “For Heaven’s Sake,” starring Harold Lloyd and Jobyna Ralston, a South Pittsburg native.
The 1926 comedy features Lloyd as a millionaire playboy who falls for a downtown girl, Hope (Ralston). In a series of gags, he runs through town causing trouble, trying to win Hope’s attention.
AGO Chattanooga spans an area from Sewanee to Athens, Tenn., to Dalton, Ga.
Summitt Pianos of Chattanooga will provide a classic organ for the performance, which begins at 4 p.m. CST at the Princess Theatre, 215 S. Cedar Ave.
