HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR. SEUSS
Has your child been introduced to the world of Dr. Seuss? If not, take a tip from the man himself, who would be celebrating his hundredth birthday this Sunday: “If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good.” The stories that are silly at first glance are great for reluctant readers, playing with language, and reading aloud.
The Public Library and United Way are celebrating the day as part of Read Across America, with a Seuss-themed party and daily readings featuring local celebrity storytellers. The events start this weekend and continue through March 8.
Also through next Saturday, March 8, the Catoosa County Colonnade in Ringgold is staging “Seussical the Musical,” bringing the 2D world to life.
