Signal Mountain Church of Christ has continued to change and grow over the years, and the church has recently decided to add a second Sunday worship service to accommodate its increasing membership.
“It’s an exciting time for us,” said pastor Greg Nance. “God has blessed us with lots of new families, and we can’t fit any more people in the parking lot or the pews.”
A Sunday morning worship service will be held at 8:30 a.m., followed by fellowship time at 9:30 a.m., Bible classes at 10 a.m. and a second worship service at 11 a.m.
“We invite people to come celebrate with us,” said Nance. “We want to share with the community what we’re about.”
He said the 11 a.m. service will basically be a mirror of the 8:30 a.m. service.
“Every group takes on its own personality,” he said, adding that the church has been considering a second Sunday morning service for some time. “We have a strong sense of family, and no one wanted to be apart from each other.”
