CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Mosby Park pool is undergoing a comprehensive makeover that includes improvements to restrooms and reconstruction of the pool itself. The work, however, is behind schedule.
In a recent meeting, Assistant City Manager Melinda Carroll provided an update on the project — originally expected to be completed by late April — to the Cleveland City Council.
“We are staying on it daily,” Carroll said. “We had hoped to have it opened over Memorial Day weekend like our other pools.”
Project manager PMI has stated the pool rebuild is about 60 percent complete, she said.
The need to replace the 40-year-old pool has been a serious concern for Cleveland’s Parks and Recreation Department.
